A chance for Americans to come together across the one thing we all love: Food.

In a time when headlines often amplify division and distrust, we believe there’s another story waiting to be told—one of connection, courage, and common ground. Common Ground USA along with their partners, including Shoulder to Shoulder Campaign, is excited to launch the Common Ground Gatherings Campaign, a nationwide effort to help people come together—one table, one conversation at a time.

Through gatherings like Love Anyway Feasts, Civic Dish-course nights, Community & Cocktails, and the United Plates Project, we are creating intentional spaces where people can share a meal, a story, and an honest conversation that transcends “us vs. them” thinking. Our vision is to see hundreds of these gatherings hosted this October —by neighbors, students, faith leaders, companies, nonprofits and community groups—each one planting seeds of unity in a time of division.

We’ll join our neighbors and community members at tables, on picnic blankets, before our favorite sporting events—or even at the bar—to talk and learn more about each other. Everyone’s invited as we gather to find ways to make our country better. Because even when we believe different things, most Americans want to find solutions across our differences.
