Cross-Movement Solidarity: Building Coalitions for a Stronger and united America

This workshop hosted by We Are All America, Refugee Congress, CHIRLA (Coalition for Humane Immigrant Rights), Mobile Pathways, and Church World Service explores how immigrant and refugee leaders can build strong, intersectional coalitions with other justice movements to expand collective power and long term impact, especially in the face of rising climate displacement, economic inequality, and authoritarian policies. Participants will examine how immigrant and refugee rights intersect with movements such as Black liberation, climate justice, labor organizing, farmworker justice, gender justice, and disability justice. The session emphasizes practical coalition building strategies that prioritize shared values, shared leadership, and shared victories. Participants will learn how cross movement collaboration strengthens collective responses to climate change, displacement, and systemic injustice, and why solidarity across movements is essential to protecting democracy and advancing justice for all.

Shoulder to Shoulder Campaign’s Executive Director, Nina Fernando, will be a speaker in this workshop. Learn more and register here.
